PHIL JONES RELISHES MANCHESTER UNITED CHALLENGE




England U-21 International Phil Jones is ready to take on a new challenge after his transfer to the English Champions Manchester United.

The 19 year old Defender was transferred to to the old Trafford Club on Monday after Blackburn Rovers agreed the transfer fee.He will arrive at the Red devil's camp once he is done with representing England in the Under 21 European championship in Denmark.

Jones expressed his gratitude to his former club"I'd just like to start off by saying that I've loved my time at Blackburn and I will always be a huge fan." and admitted the opportunity to play for United was too good to pass on "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I am looking forward to a new challenge."

Jones is the first summer signing of Sir Alex Ferguson.Even though he is expected to arrive at Manchester at the end of the month,he has already been presented the opportunity to socialise with a number of his future team-mates Smalling, Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley all part of England's squad at the Denmark tournament.
