Bolton Wanderers confirm Tuncay loan deal

Bolton Wanderers have confirmed the signing of former Stoke forward Tuncay Sanli from German side Wolfsburg on a season-long loan.
The 29-year-old left the Britannia Stadium in January after a less-than-satisfactory 18 months, expressing his wish to play in the German Bundesliga.
However, he has secured a quick return to England to join Owen Coyle's side.
"I had good talks with the manager and we spoke a lot about football and his ambitions for the club and I wanted to be part of that," said the former Middlesbrough player.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle was delighted to have brought some variety and experience into his squad.
"We are delighted to have secured the loan for Tuncay," he said.
"He has great experience added to the proven quality he possesses. We are pleased to have brought him to our club."
Bolton also have the option to sign him permanently at the end of this season.
He will not be present for Saturday's opening league fixture at Queens Park Rangers as he has not yet received a work permit.

Liverpool sign Enrique from Newcastle United

Liverpool have completed the signing of Newcastle full-back Jose Enrique after the left-back put the finishing touches to a long-term deal at Anfield.
Negotiations were concluded quickly after the 25-year-old travelled from the north-east to have a medical at the club's Melwood training ground.
The Spaniard is believed to have cost the Kopp’s in the region of £6million.
"This is one of the happiest days of my life," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
"I have come to one of the biggest clubs not just in England, but in the world. I am really, really happy."
Enrique is Liverpool's fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following Aston Villa’s Stewart Downing, Blackpool’s Charlie Adam,Sunderland’s Jordan Henderson and Roma’s Alexander Doni.
Enrique admits he is eager to grab his first chance at a "big club".
"They have won a lot of things including the Champions League," said the defender, who joined Newcastle from Villarreal in 2007 for £6.3million.
"They have amazing players and I hope to win things here.
"In Spain there is a saying 'When the train comes in, you have to take it.'
"This is the first time a big club has come in for me and I had to take it (the opportunity). I am really happy.
"Everybody speaks about the fans here and they are amazing. I am looking forward to it. I am looking forward to playing in front of the Kop. I hope it will be this weekend, but if not I can wait."

Steve Bruce confirms Kranjcar interest

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has revealed his interest in bringing Tottenham’s want-away midfielder Niko Kranjcar to the Stadium of Light on loan.

The Croatian has fallen out of favour with Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, making just two Premier League starts last season.

Bruce has been highly productive in the transfer market so far this summer, adding 10 new faces to his Sunderland squad.

And the manager is eager on making another addition in 26-year-old Kranjcar and he is interested in signing on a loan deal.

He told the Daily Star: "Bringing someone in on loan remains an option and Kranjcar is a quality player who we are very much aware of."

Bruce has also been linked with out-of-favour Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy this summer, but it remains to be seen whether a move will happen.

QPR confirm Bruno Perone signing

Queen Park rangers have confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Bruno Perone, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old, who can also play in middle of the park, has signed a one-year deal with the Barclays Premier League newcomers.
Sao Paulo-born Perone has been on trial with the west London club for the last month, featuring in several pre-season matches.
QPR manager Neil Warnock told his club's official website"Bruno has fitted in very well in the time he has been with us.
"He did well during pre-season. He has still got lots to learn but when the time comes I am sure we will be able to put him in the team with confidence.
"One of the things he has got to learn is the language. At the moment Ali Faurlin is helping him out."
If the international work permit is ready, Perone will join fellow newcomers Jay Bothroyd, Kieron Dyer, Danny Gabbidon,DJ Campbell and Brian Murphy at Loftus Road.

Kalinic leaves Blackburn for FC Dnipro

Blackburn Rovers striker Nikola Kalinic has joined Ukrainian side FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk for an undisclosed fee.

The Croatia international arrived at the Premier League club from Hadjuk Split two years ago, decided his future lay outside England and completed the move to the FC Dnipro today.

The 23 year-old made 44 appearances for Blackburn since arriving in 2009, netting seven goals.

He played for Croatia as a substitute in last night's international draw with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin and last scored for Blackburn in a 4-1 defeat at Aston Villa in February.

Man United call off Dutch man deal

English champions Manchester United have given up on their chase of Inter Milan play-maker Wesley Sneijder.

The 27 year-old has been linked with a move to United all summer as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to replace retired Paul Scholes at the heart of his midfield.

The Dutch midfielder previously stated there was unofficial contact between himself while Inter have sent signals that they were willing to let their prized asset go for the right price.

A move to England therefore looked looming for the 27-year-old but it has now been declared 'dead' by United.

Senior United officials have reportedly told The Guardian newspaper that the club have grown tired of the extended transfer saga and have decided to pull the plug on their hunt for the energetic midfielder.

Sneijder's age - being on the wrong side of the Red Devils's age limit for new signings - and the heavy salary of around £200,000-a-week he is demanding, has proved too much for the club.

Ferguson has already splashed out around £50million on new signings like Aston Villa’s Ashley Young, Blsckburn’s Phil Jones and Atletico’s David de Gea - and unless Sneijder is ready to lower his wage demands, the curtains on United's summer spending spree could well be closed as their defence of the Premier League title begins this weekend at West Bromich Albion.

United have also been linked with  Luka Modric and  Samir Nasri but it seems any deal to sign either of the play-makers is unlikely, with Chelsea and Manchester City the more possible destinations for Modric and Nasri respectively.

Moreover, with the emergence of young midfielder Tom Cleverly at Old Trafford, Ferguson may feel he already has a replacement for Scholes.
