Brest have confirmed the signing France Under-21 full-back Tripy Makonda from Paris St Germain.
The 21-year-old has penned a four-year deal at the Stade Francis-Le Ble and will be presented at a press conference this afternoon.
Makonda made 17 appearances for PSG last season but only four in Ligue 1, and will compete with Brahim Ferradj for the left-back berth with the Breton club.
St Etienne defender Yoann Andreu has been ruled out for six months after an operation on a knee ligament injury.
The right-back ruptured his cruciate ligaments in the pre-season friendly against Istres earlier this month and, while the club confirmed the surgery a success, he will be unavailable til January 2012.
It is a second serious blow for ASSE, who will also be without Argentinian midfielder Alejandro Alonso for five months with a similar injury.
Middlesbrough midfielder Didier Digard has completed his move to Nice for an undisclosed fee.
The 25 year-old has spent the last season and a half on loan at Nice and captained them during the 2010-11 season after failing to force his way into the Boro side.
The Frenchman joined Boro from French League 1 side PSG during the summer of 2008 for £4 million.
Digard managed just 32 league appearances for the club and scored one goal, in a 5-1 Carling Cup victory over Yeovil.
Barcelona have confirmed they have reached an agreement to sell Spanish striker Bojan Krkic to Roma for 12 million euros.
The Serie A team had already reached personal terms with the 20-year-old last month.
A statement from Barcelona read: "The cost of the operation is 12 million euros but includes a compulsory buy-out option to be exercised by Barcelona at the end of the 2012-13 campaign, at a cost of 13 million euros.
"This buy-out option can be blocked by AS Roma but in that case, the total cost of the transfer would be 40 million euros."
Bojan, who struggled to get regular first-team football at Barca, will hold a press conference in the Catalan city before leaving to the Italian capital.
Roma will be coached next season by former Barcelona B manager Luis Enrique.
