Del Horno completes Levante move

Levante have signed free-agent Asier del Horno on a one-year deal.

The 30-year-old left-back spent last season on loan at Levante from Valencia but his contract was cancelled on his return to the Mestalla earlier this summer.

The former Spain international has previously played for Chelsea and Athletic Bilbao, made 22 appearances for Levante last season.

Juve set sight on Alex

Juventus have set their sights on Chelsea center back Alex following their failed attempt to secure Diego Lugano from Fenerbahce.

Lugano was believed to be on his way to Juve this summer but it seems the centre-back is on the verge of a new contract with the Turkish side.

Now according to reports, Juventus have turned their attention to Alex as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of the new season.

The 29-year-old has been named among the aging players that are linked with a move out of Stamford Bridge as new boss Andre Villas-Boas seek to inject young blood into the squad.

And the Portuguese is unlikely to stand in the way of the Brazilian should a reasonable offer comes in before the end of the transfer window.

Alex was signed from Brazilian side Santos back in 2007 before being loaned out to PSV Eindhoven.

Upon his return to the Bridge, he has managed to establish himself in the heart of the Blues defence over the past few seasons.

But the club's failure in both the Barclays Premier League and Champions League has thrown his future into uncertainty.

Inter ready to offer Maicon for Tevez

Inter Milan are ready to offer Brazilian Maicon, hopefully in a deal that sees Argentain Carlos Tevez head in the opposite direction from Manchester City.

The Brazilian full back appeared to have lost favour with new coach Gian Piero Gasperini and has been rumoured to be seeking a move out of the San Siro.

Previously linked with Real Madrid, Maicon's desired move to the Santiago Bernabeu has been dashed by the arrival of Fabio Coentrao at the Spanish giants.

Now according to Il Corriere dello Sport, Inter are willing to cash in on the 30-year-old should an offer meet their valuation of €20 million.

Manchester City are reportedly interested in the right-back and their interest could be capitalized by the Italian side, who themselves have been heavily linked with want-away striker Tevez.

The Nerazzurri could tempt the Eastlands club by using Maicon in a make-weight deal to land the Argentina international.

Maicon has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2012 and could leave on a free during his final year at the San Siro.

Chelsea eye shock move for Pato

Chelsea are reportedly lining up a £30million plus player deal to land Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato from AC Milan.

The Brazilian international is no stranger to rumor linking him to Stamford Bridge and was close to joining the Blues following the arrival of Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti in 2009.But that move didn’t happen.

Now according to The Daily Mirror, new Chelsea manager Villas-Boas has reignited the club's interest in the 21-year-old striker as he looks to inject young blood into his aging squad.

The Portuguese coach has insisted he is happy with the current squad at the Bridge despite having yet to sign a new player this summer.

But Pato could well be a surprise signing before the start of the new season as the Blues look to regain their Barclays Premier League title from Manchester United.

The Blues are reportedly preparing a £20million plus either French man Nicolas Anelka or Ivory Coast striker Salomon Kalou to land the Brazilian hitman.

Pato scored 14 goals in 25 appearances for AC Milan last season despite being sidelined on a number of occasions due to injuries.
