Lyon have appointed former France and Arsenal defender Remi Garde as their new manager as a replacement for Claude Puel on Wednesday.
Garde will become the 13th manager of Jean-Michel Aulas' reign as Lyon president and it will be his first managerial position, though he has worked for the club as a coach and most recently as director of the club's training centre, overseeing youth development.
The 45-year-old, who retired from playing in 1999 after spells with Strasbourg, Lyon and Arsenal, was officially unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday.
