Manchester United are set to face competition from free-spending French side Paris Saint-Germain for Brazilian starlet Ganso.
The 21-year-old, along with team-mate Neymar, has been tipped with a move to Europe, with Manchester United among the rumoured destination.
But according to talkSPORT, cash-rich PSG are preparation to hijack Ganso's move to Old Trafford with a proposed £35million bid for the attacking midfielder.
The French Ligue 1 club, backed by the Qatar Investment Authority, has gone on a shopping spree this summer - signing the likes of Blaise Matuidi, Jeremy Menez, Salvatore Sirigu and Mohamed Sissoko.
And more new faces are expected at the Parc des Princes come the start of the new season, with Ganso and Palermo hitman Javier Pastore apparently top of their wish-list.
Meanwhile, Santos are believed to have a £45m buy-out clause in the youngster's contract and unless that fee is met are reportedly unwilling to sell before the 2012 Club World Cup.
