Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku arrived at St Pancras station ahead of his medical at Chelsea.
The Blues reached a deal to sign the 18-year-old wonder-kid from Anderlecht at the weekend.
Lukaku, who travelled to London by Eurostar from Brussels, netted 16 goals in 37 league appearances last season and has scored twice in two games in the current campaign.
Asked about Blues manager Andre Villas Boas, he told the Press Association: "He's a good man."
