The agent of Samuel Eto'o has stated the Inter Milan striker is on the brink of a astounding move to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
There has been rumors linking the Cameroon international with a move to the Russian side, who have been associated with a number of big-name signings this summer.
Now the 30-year-old's agent Claudio Vigorelli has confirmed a deal is near completion.
"We have almost reached an agreement with Anzhi. Now we hope that the clubs agree," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Vigorelli's revelation came in wake of Inter president Massimo Moratti's comments over star striker's move to Russia.
"The offer is not indecent but it is not up to me to evaluate it," said Moratti. "In fact it is intelligent, interesting and fair. Now it is up to us and Eto'o to evaluate it."
Eto'o has enjoyed a memorable career, having played for Spainsh giants Real Madrid and Barcelona before moving to Inter Milan in 2009.
He has played over 100 games for the Italian side, scoring 53 goals.
