Djibril Cisse is undergoing a medical at Lazio in Rome on Tuesday as he closes in on a move from Panathinaikos to the Italian side Lazio.
Lazio reached an agreement with the Greek giants earlier this month to sign the France international in a reported €5.8million deal.
The 29-year-old was welcomed by 300 Lazio fans at Rome's Fiumicino airport on Tuesday morning and is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Biancoceleste club.
The former Liverpool, Sunderland and Marseille star will become Lazio's sixth summer signing after Marius Stankevicius, Miroslav Klose, Federico Marchetti, Abdoulay Konko and Senad Lulic.
Lazio finished fifth in Serie A last season and will play in next season's Europa League.
