Malaga have confirmed the signing of Sevilla Defender Sergio Sanchez taking their number of summer arrivals to eight.
The 25-year-old Sanchez underwent a heart operation last year and did not play for 12 months before returning for Sevilla in January. He passed a medical at Malaga yesterday before penning a four-year contract.
Former Espanyol defender Sanchez will be unveiled tomorrow alongside another new signing Diego Buonanotte.
Malaga has been extremely active in the transfer market since the end of last season, bringing in Joaquin Sanchez, Martin Demichelis, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Nacho Monreal, Jeremy Toulalan and Joris Mathijsen, as well as Sanchez and Buonanotte.
Malaga finished 11th in La Liga last season, three points above the relegation zone.
