Bulgaria striker Valeri Bojinov has joined Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon on a five-year contract from Parma.
Bojinov made the permanent move to Parma last summer after an initial loan from Manchester City. He will wear the number seven shirt for his new club.
"If the fans, the players and the club all stand together, then we will turn in some good results," the 25-year-old said. "Sporting has given me the chance to join a group that is going to get this club winning again.
"I will give my all in every game and I am sure that Sporting is going to play to win."
Sporting finished third in the Portuguese Liga last term - 36 points behind champions Porto. Midfielder Jaime Valdes has been loaned to Parma for the 2011-12 season as part of the deal.
