United started their Pre-Season with a thumping Victory

Manchester United opened their five-match Pre-season United States tour with a comfortable 4-1 win over New England Revolution in Boston.

Michael Owen set United on their way five minutes after the break, with teenager Federico Macheda adding two more.

Macheda added a second five minutes later, although the hosts responded immediately as they capitalised on being awarded a dubious free-kick when Benny Feilhaber's shot deflected in off Kenny Mansally.

Another tidy finish from Macheda made the score line 3-1, who scored zero goals in 14 appearances on loan with Sampdoria last season.

After a tortuous summer in his personal life, veteran Ryan Giggs received a warm reception upon his arrival and it was his pass that provided United with a fourth, for Park Ji-sung. It was a sublime chip by the South Korean.

England international Ashley Young made his debut for the Red Devils and manager Sir Alex said” He(Young) showed tonight he's a fantastic crosser of the ball. I think he hit three fantastic crosses in the game, which maybe isn't something we're used to with the way we play. But if we do get used to it then there's goals there. I was very satisfied.”

Fergi also praised 19 year old Striker "Macheda's finishes were first class,He is special. At 19 years of age, we still have great hopes for him."
